This is an upgrade to the Swerve Drive Specialties MK4n to enclose it and give it some of the features of the SDS MK5n.
All parts are designed to print with ZERO support material. The main body prints at an angle with the front surface facing down. This provides a convenient place to add text or imagery if your printer supports changing colors:
There are two paths for the encoder wiring, straight out the back to an integrated zip-tie mount, or through an internal channel toward the motors. 10-32 nyloc nuts can be installed in internal channels to provide mounting holes on the back for mechanisms or electronics:
A small shield piece attaches to the lower plate with a 10-32 nyloc nut and screw to fill the gap around the motors, keeping the grease in and protecting it from dirt and carpet debris:
